11-year-old visually impaired rapper of Talented Kidz fame, Christian Morgan has called for assistance to help him achieve his dream of becoming a great musician like Shata Wale and Sarkodie in the future.
Beginning his education at the Cape Coast School for the Deaf and Blind, Morgan is now in class 3 at the Ghana National Inclusive Basic School in Cape Coast.
Morgan takes advantage during ICT lessons to nurture his talent. He listens, memorises and practises various genres of music while on the computer.
His exposure on TV3’s Talented Kidz season VII audition added flavour to his fame although he fell out in the second round of the auditions.
“What I like about him is the joy with which he does what he loves”, host of the reality show Jossy said during a production on the audition grounds at TV3.
Morgan has been hosted on many radio shows including 3FM’s Urban Blend where host of the music program Miriam confessed on air, “He (Morgan) doesn’t let it (visual impairment) get into his way at all!
Listeners, he sings and creates his own beat, we didn’t help him in everything you heard!” Morgan’s new teacher Juliana Sekyere recounted her first time with him: “There was noise all over and when I asked why, I was told the Talented Kidz boy is here!”
She narrated how she now has to stop him from singing during classes but when it is Music lesson, “Morgan takes over”.
But Christian Morgan needs assistance to make his dream come true.
“I need a set of musical instruments, an expert to train me and a producer,” he appealed. Morgan is one of the over one hundred and ninety thousand (190, 000) visually impaired persons in Ghana.
